New Moon Ritual
New moons are a time for setting new intentions and focusing on what you want to manifest. Having a new moon ritual is a great way to get clear and focused on what you want to achieve and to bring it into your reality. You can see when the new moons are using this calendar.
I have only recently started my spiritual journey and learning more about the moon. I’m still no where near an expert on it all but I do know that I enjoy my new moon ritual and setting the time aside for planning, setting intentions and manifesting.
There are a few different exercises that you can do on a new moon and I recommend finding the ones that you enjoy doing most and creating your own ritual. Today I’ll be sharing with you my favourites that I do every new moon.
Take the time to reflect on all that you have to be grateful for. Write a list of people you are grateful for and why. Write a list of everything you have to be grateful for and take the time to really feel the feeling of gratitude for them.
Put on some relaxing music, light a candle and spend time connecting with yourself. I also like to do this in a warm bubble bath. Check in with yourself, how you are feeling and do some self reflection.
Set your intentions
Pick 10 wishes for the month ahead. Things that you really want to achieve. Be specific and realistic about these and make sure it’s something that means a lot to you.
Write them down in whatever way feels best for you – in a journal, in a picture or with colours.
Read them back to yourself out loud. Spend time visualising them as if they are already true. Visualise in as much detail as possible using all the senses and connect with the feelings it would bring.
Think about and write down the actions you need to take to help this become a reality. You will need to take action on order for it to manifest so think about what you will need to do.
Create new positive affirmations for your wishes. Make them relevant to what you want to be reality. When creating affirmations it is important to remember to make them in the present tense as if they have already happened, using positive and powerful language that you connect with.
Go on Insight Timer or YouTube and search for a new moon meditation. There are loads out there for you to try. You can also try using meditation music (I like the timer section on Insight Timer) and spend time in meditation that way.
Now that you’ve done the exercises it’s time to release and let go of your new intentions to allow them to manifest into reality. You don’t need to worry about the how, that is the universes job. It’s time for you to focus on the actions you need to take and remain in a positive mindset.
