Life Changing Personal Development Books
Over the last 3 years I have read so many personal development books. Reading is how I began my personal development journey, I learned so much from reading books and began to put it into action to manage anxiety, build my confidence and begin to love myself again. I wanted to out together a post of lots of different peoples favourite books, as we all have different taste and take different lessons away from personal development books. The most important part of reading a personal development book is to take what you learn and put it into action in your own life to see results from it. Here are the life changing personal development books that people love.
The Miracle Morning By Hal Elrod
I had to pick this one as it was the first personal development book I read. It started me off on my personal development journey. This book showed me the importance of a morning routine and the impact it can have on your mindset and life. My morning routine has since evolved into the hour long routine it is today, still keeping the original concept taught in this book. It is no doubt the best way to start the day.
Stop Caretaking The Borderline Or Narcissist by Margalis Fjelstad
Many of my own career and lifestyle struggles are centered around boundary issues, respect, and relationship negotiations. This book helped me to identify and name some of the experiences I had with my childhood caregivers. I learned how my own habits were hurting me. Also, I learned how to release some of my harmful beliefs about the way I needed to behave in relationships in order to be loved. I released some of the “positive” beliefs I felt I was earning by being so agreeable, or “caretaking,” that were actually hurting me and those I was unhealthy assuming responsibility for.

Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers
My feelings have often held me hostage and I never understood how many of them can be traced back to some underlying fear showing in sneaky ways! It raised my awareness so much and I realised I just have to assess where it’s coming from and then work on those bits and take action!

Believe Bigger by Marshawn Evans Danials
So many reasons this book has made it to the top of my list. If you are on a path of purpose discovery, have ever had doubts, or faced challenges in life then this book is for you! In five inspirational and spiritual steps you will discover your higher purpose and find the courage to pursue it! You will come to see how challenges and disappointments in your life have all contributed to who are you are today and how you can use them to fulfill your dreams, live the life you long for, and claim your destiny!

Mindset by Carol Dweck
This book is about the psychology of success. It talks about the reasons why we think in certain ways and is focused on the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. It gives many examples of the growth mindset & results and the fixed mindset & results in regards to parenting, athletics, business and relationships. For instance she talks about how people in a growth mindset don’t just seek a challenge, they thrive on it. The bigger the challenge, the more they stretch. It is so encouraging to know that when we work on our mindset we can grow!
Esther van Cuilenborg, Funnel Designer & VA
The Obstacle Is The Way by Ryan Holiday
This book inspired me to stop reading personal development books and start taking action in my life. I was searching for answers, for ways to change my life and the Obstacle is the Way gave me the courage to face my fears and run head on into my challenges. I haven’t read a book since, I’ve been too busy just going after my dreams.
Nadalie Bardo, It’s All You Boo
7 Habits Of Highly Effective People
This book gives you an understanding of how to live a life based on basic principles that you can apply to your life and your business. With every chapter you grow from inside out. It’s wonderfully written, very clear and easy to understand and incorporate in your life and business. I encourage anyone who has any desire at all for self-improvement to read this book with an open mind. Read it slowly, digest it along the way, and then when needed, go back and read it again.
