Inspiring Interview With Evelyn Foreman
Today you will get inspired by this incredible interview with Evelyn Foreman.
I am a student of life, privileged to be a mom to 2 amazing children and wife to an incredibly wonderful man. My blog is Path of Presence where I share practical tips, tools and resources to help foster positivity, personal growth and empowerment.
What is your morning routine? How long have you been committed to this? What have the results been?
I am a mom of 2. Both children are in different phases of growth and require my energy in various ways. My morning routine involves waking up 2-3 hours before anyone else to get grounded and ready for my day. At the moment my eyes open, I shift my attention to the breath. Conscious breathing connects me to my body as I do a self-visualization. For the last 2 years, I have gotten used to the routine of what I consider “drinking in The Silence.” Quiet time is divine: it grounds me, sources me and provides inspiration for everything I do.
My morning routine includes 60 minutes in silent meditation, 20 minutes for writing and 20 minutes of yoga depending on how I am called. The result of this practice is a grounding peace that allows me to balance the demands of mom, wife, friend, entrepreneur, writer, coach, and all the various roles life affords me.

Do you have any personal development habits? How often do you use these? How have they improved your mindset?
I go to sleep early so I can wake up early. I love the quiet morning hours before anyone is awake. The morning has always motivated me. The idea of a brand new day, to be lived with all sorts of possibilities is exciting! I ask myself what kind of a day will unfold for me before I even begin my day and visualize what I see unfolding.
Every day, my goal is to walk 10,000-15,000 steps and to keep myself motivated, I wear a pedometer. When I go on long walks, I do so in silence, getting out of my head and connected to my body.
I physically sleep – my goal is to sleep 9 hours a day. I have noticed that when I get a great nights sleep, I am more productive, have more energy and generally happier. As a mompreneur, extended restful, uninterrupted sleep is definitely something that challenges me and that I want to experience even more of every day. It is a daily practice to sleep, and sleep soundly.
I aim for balance, I do not believe in deprivation, but I do believe in moderation and variety. I see food as fuel and medicine and choose wisely. If and when I want a treat, I get it. Happy meat, happy eggs and LOTS AND LOTS of organic greens, fruits and veggies are part of my diet. I consider conscious eating a part of my daily self-care regimen and personal development routine.
Every habit I mentioned above is integral to my well being and supports my growth – physically, emotionally and yes, even spiritually. Having balance in the various ways I feed myself enables me to be the best version of me possible.
What is your number one tip or personal development resource recommendation?
Life is presence! What you are present to is what is real for you at that moment. Be with it. Learn from it. Relish it. Let it be your teacher! Regardless of your destination, remember that you are a work in progress and that there is always more than one path to take. Allowing yourself to be You, authentically, uninhibited, amazing, audacious YOU in the experience of it all as you navigate your way is Gold!
