Fear Blocked Me Meditation Energy Rescued Me
In this inspiring guest post, Linda talks to us about how meditation energy rescued her and changed her life. Meditation energy is so powerful.
Life force energy moves within you not around you.
What do I mean by blocked?
Everything In life is energy. We are energy, money is energy, food is energy, thoughts from your consciousness is energy.
When you’re blocked, life force energy swirls around you and not within in you. Within our body we have seven major chakras which creates your aura and releases energy – your vibe.
Meditation is life force energy. Meditation energy is powerful. This energy keeps our organs pumping and our systems such as your digestive and nervous system. Most people think its our heart that keeps us alive and to some degree it is, however without life force energy your heart won’t pump. it is the core of our consciousness, our soul.
When the flow of life force energy moves through you physically, emotionally, and spiritually it can become unbalanced, stagnant, or blocked and cause illness or Dis – Ease.
My energy was negative my chakras were not healthy. My aura was dull, I was not shining my light and I was not vibrating on a higher level. The choices I made were fear based and not coming from love. I was not grounded; therefore, I was blocking support from the universe, source, spirit guides, ascended masters and the angels.
Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with depression, honestly, I have never known a feeling like it. The emotions were overwhelming, to the extent I no longer knew who I was. Writing this blog brings a sense of sadness back to me knowing that people are going through depression daily.
I really did fear the unknown. Day by day. the illness became stronger and stronger – darker and darker -heavier and heavier.
I would regularly curl up in a ball praying for the days to end, suffocating in my own space. Feeling overwhelmed, I was burnt out, I discovered vodka to help numb the pain.
I was suffering so much – I drank a little more each day to the point I was drinking a litre of vodka a day. it became a natural state of being for me.
One particular day, I drank, and I took myself to the cemetery, I was convinced I no longer had the strength to carry on. I was rescued by a stranger and brought home. My mother arranged an emergency appointment at the doctors the next day. I remember sitting there, my eyes swollen and slit through the tears, I remember everything being hazy and my mind being foggy, I can only explain it as being present and numb, distant at the same time.
The doctor suggested I go to hospital for mental health purposes, I refused to go, instead I accepted a high dose of antidepressants and I promised to return the following week for a counselling session.
The counsellor asked, what does this feel like?
I explained it was like living in a black hole, the hole is as wide as its as tall. Every time I get close to the top I would fall back down again. I could only describe it as a game of snakes and ladders. I recognised at that point I had no strength to move forward. There was no fight left in me. I mentally broke down and surrendered. I pleaded for help.
If your thoughts are coming from fear they will not move you forward.
I was still struggling with my emotions, I was angry with the world. Frightened of the future. I could see no light at the end of the tunnel. I started over analysing everything and everyone, I was paranoid of myself and others, I thought everyone was out to get me and I lost my shit.
Then I started pushing everyone away; unbeknown to me at this time people genuinely cared and was worried about me. I was focusing on the negatives, which stopped me focusing on the positives. It is a scientific fact that what you focus on becomes your reality.
As the weeks went on so did the months.
I overheard someone talking about meditation; it was not as well-known as it is today, so I started to do some research and discovered all the amazing benefits meditation had to offer. I found a class, which I absolutely loved, and I started to practice, it started with a monthly intention, then two weeks until I was practising daily.
Meditation energy rescued me.
It took me a while to get to grips with meditation, I really could not stop the mind chatter. I would get frustrated with myself because I was comparing myself to experienced people within the group. I expected meditation to do what it said on the tin and give me all the amazing benefits I had read about previously.
At the time I didn’t recognise this and started to doubt myself and decided meditation wasn’t for me and stopped.
A few months later I was drawn to try another group and this time I really took to it. For the first time in 2 years I reconnected with my soul. I can only describe it as an awakening – I was rescued.
I heard guidance from the universe saying to me through my mind’s eye “welcome home”. When I actually cried but this time it was a cry of relief, I remember thinking to myself, I am free, the feeling was overwhelming. I felt like all the chains that was holding me down was released and my chest became loose, I could breathe again. The weight had been lifted, I no longer felt suffocated. It was a magical experience.
At first, I thought it was a bit woo woo and started to question my intuition. I went home to do some research into meditation awakening and about spirit guides. The more I read the more empowered and inspired I became, I started to learn about the law of attraction, the secret, I fell in love with Dalai lama a famous spiritual leader.
I began to set my intentions to work with the meditation principles, breath, mind and focus. I am forever grateful to meditation, without this focus I am not sure where I would be today.
In my own personal experience meditation has the benefit of aiding with depression and anxiety, it also aids with the mind heart and body. In today’s society, everyone is suffering with some kind of stress.
Twenty years ago, professionals were the only people labelled suffering with high pressure, today everyone has some form of stress, women, men and children are suffering due to the high pressures of life.
I realised my suffering was a blessing in disguise.
Little did I know, the illness I suffered was a blessing in disguise, through this experience I have managed to help people get out of their own way; I understand their struggles, I connect with them on an emotional level and I recommend meditation as a tool to reconnect with their soul?
Your soul knows you inside out, your intuition guides you to places you can only dream off and this empowers you to be your true authentic self.
Today I am a spiritual coach, I teach and inspire people through meditation and other healing modalities.
Get Started with Meditation
The key to meditation is your intention
Have you ever day dreamed? Everyone does meditation without realising it, when you day dream your mediating, your focusing on either an object or a thought. The best way to start is setting an intention to do it.
Optional – Play some soft music
Simply closed your eyes,
Notice your breath.
Take a few deep breaths in and out
Focus on your heart center
As you breathe in, breathe in the word Peace
As you breathe out, breathe out the word doubt
Do this four times,
Do a quick body scan starting at the top of your head
Noticing all the tiny muscles as they tingle.
Face, release your tongue
Neck, drop your shoulders from your ears.
Feet, balls of your feet, and all the tiny muscles around the sides and top of your feet.
And simply let any thoughts float above your head – If you find your drifting with your thoughts simply come back to your heart centre.
If your ever lost or unsure, ask for guidance, universe, source, spirit guides, ascended masters and the angels.
Find a space where you will not be disturbed connect to your heart centre and breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, do this for four times and listen, if your mind wanders that’s ok, the secret sauce to mediation is practice.
If you struggle to sit go for a mediation walk, no earphones, and just listen to your soul, admire the scenery, use all your five senses, hear, touch, smell, feel, taste and take it all in.
Journal to meditate, find a quiet place, and release your thoughts, put pen to paper and write, you don’t need to know what to write about, let your intuition guide you.
Get comfortable, light a candle, take a few breaths in and out and focus on the flame of the candle, watch the colours, the flame dances, watch it go higher and lower and simply ask your guides a specific question. Listen in your minds eye for the answer.
