Have you been day dreaming about your dream future? Do you get lost day dreaming about it, wishing it to be true. Saying things like “when I win the lottery…” It’s time to discover how to create your dream future and live the life you want and deserve.
Start by spending some time reflecting on what your dream future is. Ask yourself these questions and write down the first thing that comes to mind. Don’t hold back on the luxury, go for what you want. Journaling is one the best ways to tap into your feelings and desires.
Get a clear picture of what you want from your list and start putting together pictures of all of them. This can either be physically on a cork board with images from magazines or the internet. Or you can do it digitally. I have mine as a secret board on Pinterest and currently have over 200 images on there.
You can add to this whenever you have new ideas about your dream future. There are no limits you can add anything you think of. Look at your vision board daily and connect with all the images on it. Imagine your life in that way.
This is such a great tool that I am so glad I heard about on my personal development journey. The book “A Happy Pocket Full Of Money” recommends visualising for 20 minutes twice a day. Make the time for visualisation, wake up earlier or go to bed later to get it into your daily routine. Spend time throughout the day “day dreaming” about your dream future, this is a form of visualisation.
How to visualise:
A great way to visualise is by watching yourself in the picture, you can imagine being sat in a cinema watching your dream life on the big screen.
If you need to you can use the pictures for inspiration if you find it hard to focus or visualise.
Now while I believe that manifesting and the law of attraction is a powerful tool you still need to take action to create your dream future.
Looking at your list and pictures create a list of all the goals you have to achieve. For example if you have work from home on your vision board you will need to set goals and take action towards making a full time income from your business to make that a reality. Write down all your long term goals in a list.
Pick 1 goal to get started on and set short term goals for this goal. I like to set daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals. I also set a focus for each quarter of the year that I concentrate on most. You can choose to do the same or your own goal setting approach.
Now it’s time to get planning on action to take to achieve those goals. Sticking with the example of the long term goal of working from home, what daily goals do you need to set? Consider actions like personal development, content, social media posts.
For weekly goals you could aim for number of sales, clients, collaboration etc. Monthly goals can be more in depth but I like to limit it to 3 at the most, including bigger goals like income.
Using a planner has made such a positive impact on my productivity and success this year so far. It’s so great to have a physical planner to set goals, priorities and daily habits and be able to check them off when complete. It keeps my focused and motivated.
The planner I am currently using is the Law Of Attraction Planner by Freedom Mastery. It is perfect for me as it gives me space for monthly goals and focuses. The weekly planner includes space for a weekly goal, daily goals as well as priorities, to do list and daily tasks. I have been so motivated all year so far because I know it’s in my planner and I am determined to get ticks on every page.
